Though the Carbon Neutral concept has nothing to do with us but your concepts about tree's are wrong.
They don't release CO2 when they die. They leave pur Carbon when they die and you can use that Carbon as a fuel so you are the one who will release CO2 after burning Carbon.
Maybe by end of our life, whole world will get submerged due to Global Warming but it would be due to our carelessness. Tree's were the main reason so far for a good balance in Climatic conditions all over but we have broken that balance.
