I can't comment on NFS Underground 2 but NFS Underground was supurb! So I probably would enjoy it and am definitely going to look into investing in it in the near future.
Regarding having a good computer for games, yes it is fabulous. I got a new computer this year just so I could play certain new games (and use my other comp for other things) and have not regretted it!
