/VZ partition is going through FSCK so it is running FSCK on userfiles only. OS files are in /var, /usr, /proc partitions which rarely give any problem. Life of harddrives is reduced on
VPS Hosting nodes as /vz partition goes through inconsistent disk write / read process due to some customers making excessive use of their space while others making no use resulting in bad sectors on the /vz partition.
Shared / Reseller or dedicated hosting servers never go through such problems as the disk read / write is consistent on them and the harddrives never get tested on such extreme conditions.
