Is there a limit on the cpu time for a php script execution on shared hosting? the reason I ask;
Ran into this problem with the existing host (Bluehost), where a Joomla/Virtuemart script times out with a 500 error every time I do a products update (crunching a long CSV file into SQL Server database).
Their support do not seem to be able to help due to the server setup, editing php.ini seems to be overridden.
I never asked the question before purchasing as the problem has never arisen before with other hosting services. Was pretty much a case of ensure that MySQL and php are available - and off you go...
Any other considerations for running Joomla/VM shop I may have missed out ?
Any input from admin/users will be much appreciated.
