Default Cgi-bin

Ok i an on a lynux server and use a commercial E:Commerce (EROL )package to upload to my shop website hosting http://www.westbourne-models.com .

Now the software needs to access the Cgi-bin to upload some perl and scripts for the search engine and other functionality .

All was fine till a few weeks ago then suddenly the software would not upload correctly to the cgi-bin it will let the file though but strips all the info out so its just a zero length file
as though somthing is blocking it .
Now if i use say Cute ftp there is no problem to upload the scripts to the cgi file and the other files to the other folders .

What is odd it all worked again for a couple of days last week then stopped on Friday again

i have got a few versions of the program on diff comps on diffrent setups in different locations so i can roughly rule out the soft ware in theory ??

Has anyone got any ideas it's Please.
