Thanks for the info. I had opened a ticket - the response that I recieved was that my email account was working using a test account (a thoroughly useless response since I made it clear that the fault was happening sporadically.)
Sadly you seem to have better information than the customer support. I wonder why they were unable to give a useful response to the ticket...
I suppose putting all new accounts on typhoon also explains why it is currently being blacklisted by AOL email servers (I am trying to get this resolved through EUKhost).
