That's probably the secret of Hotmail.
Hotmail does not send anything to blackhole. It send it back or keeps it. So probably the from mail being send was
xxyy@mail.server.tld and hotmail was sending it back to that very address but it was being forwarded to abuse or postmaster or mailerdaemon...kinda loop.
