website hosting can have one visitor that is able to make many hits on different pages - that is it summed up in one sentence!
So for example the first page (index.htm) with one image (image.jpg) - the index page has got a hit there and so has the image file and the person may continue to browse to other pages (page1.htm, page2.htm) but not matter how many pages / images / downloads they view they are still one visitor.
