I would recommend your continuation of using Paypal unless you have a reasonable number of customers and money coming in to keep it profitable for you. On the other hand when your customer base builds up it adds to your image when you transfer all responsibility for the payments to your server, and therefore set up SSL.
However, if you are just starting up Paypal is a good way to accept payments as Paypal is a trusted name and will put customers minds at ease until you build up your own individual reputation.
