Yeah I understand. Since it is a shared server (i.e. hosting many
website hostings) it would be unfair/inefficient to open a custom port for a web application. I think i was having a
Dedicated is way too expensive for me - but I am interested in how a
VPS Hosting server would perform. Maybe this is a possibility.
Meanwhile, since my
website hosting is still in development, I have decided to test the performance of web services on my home server. It may be the case that I can redesign due to the performance constraints (if they exist). Not ideal but it may solve the problem short term. If the
website hosting takes off then I can look into upgrading my hosting.
