It does seem strange. I would use extreme caution when following Yahoo!'s advice on something this critical - especially seen as though they seem to know very little. But I'm sure your already well aware of this.

The issue is more than likely with them, they just can't see it!! You can try it if you like but I doubt it will work. If you do make a registry backup before though in case their advice leads you up the garden path!
