With regard to your second post, who's temp folder will be the problem? the sender or the recipient? - I've had this same failure on multiple mailboxes from my domain. Each mailbox has been well within quota, or has no quota imposed.
Sorry about the drone comment - I realise being tied to a script isn't the most fulfilling of jobs, but think what it's like for customers!
Oh, in case it matters, all the failed or delayed messages have been to the btinternet.com domain, not yahoo.com
