OK - I've done a whole bunch of tests and things are definitely looking up.
Sent an email at 23:12 yesterday and it went straight through (this was before your post above)
did some more tests but I was too tired to really remember what I did.
Did some more methodical tests this morning. at first it looked like it still was not working:
Mail sent from my local email client at 09:26 and 09:35
Mail sent from webmail at 09:44
Mail sent from ruby app on agusta at 10:03
Nothing arived by 10:10
Checked again at 10:17... with one exception all messages now arived, including one sent at 23:23 last night.
The only message I'm still waiting for is the one sent by the ruby application on augusta. Could this be because the app is running in the subdomain ruby.noelwalters.co.uk but the return address is set to signup(at)sharehost.co.uk? Anyway I'll check again to see if it arrives later.
I did tests with my email client set to connect to agusta.eukhost.com as well as agusta.eukservers.com. mail from both has now been delivered. Which is prefered?
When I set it to connect to agusta.eukservers.com I get a certificate error (mismatched domains) so I'll continue to connect to agusta.eukhost.com unless you tell me otherwise.
I will continue to monitor the situation.
