Hi guys - thanks for the replies.

At the moment the web site hosting is relatively small with about 100 hits per day - so nothing massive - although there is a lot of content and have quite an active forum attached to it. I sell tickets online through Paypal for events that are run monthly and so need something steady and stable and there is only the one domain I need so don't need anything more than that.

Looking at the shared packages - it looks like Silver will fit everything in for now and still leave a bit for expansion purposes.

The main concern for me is, as mentioned, the actual move from one host to the other .. any downtime isn't an issue as my website hosting is a bit broke anyway at the moment due to the problems with my current host ..

To be honest, I don't know anything about messing with the DNS - never had any need to ... but if thats the easiest and most painless route for me to take then count me in .. .. hopefully someone could talk me through it.

I spoke with my current host today and asked them what I'd need to do and they said I'd need to unlock the domain, enter a new registrar through their control panel, email my host telling them what I'm doing and then they'll send me an authorisation code which I'd need to give to 'someone' (you guys?) .. and then wait upto 7 days for the switch to occur .. this sound about right or is that doing it the long way?

Look forward to your replies ..
