I have lots of domains with 123-reg, brilliant company. When you want to change name servers they have an "OpenSRS" register which means you cant change your domain names name servers onto something they havent had before.
For example my name servers are ns1.thehostinghq.co.uk and ns2.thehostinghq.co.uk and i also bought the .com version, i had to open a support ticket and register them both with this "OpenSRS" system so that i could use them for all my domain names.
Open a support ticket with some the error copied and pasted, they normally reply within 5/6 hours
