What should I do?. If i use my HOSTNAME, it says it is unable to recognise?. Any ideas?.

You will need to add "remote access host" from your cpanel control panel as the MySQL server won't allow remote access unless you allow a specific host from control panel. You can see that option in MySQL section of your cpanel control panel.
cPanel has got this security feature for security of MySQL databases.
