They have no issues with downloads, but high speed uploads creates problem for their servers and they block your http as well as ftp access temporarily. I prefer ISP's using DSL technology for same reason.

Yes, Virgin Media do block your internet if you hit your upload limit - but they kill your entire connection. During these outages, we are only unable to access the eUKhost network. This problem doesn't just happen when using FTP (although sometimes it does) - sometimes it just happens randomly, so I believe this isn't to do with the Virgin Media upload policy - due to the fact that only the EuroConnex network is blocked, and no other provider.
