Hi,
I am considering ordering one of your
VPS Hosting packages (L-
VPS Hosting-01 to start with) but would like to check a few things in advance to avoid disappointment:
1) Previously I only used bog standard virtual hosting rather than
VPS Hosting, so can you please provide a couple of sites you host on those
VPS Hosting accounts (ideally the one I am looking for) so that I could check if they are fast or not, ping them etc.
2) I will need proper SSL for at least one of my
website hosting hosted there, this seems to be possible with
VPS Hosting account, but could you please confirm that it is fairly straightforward to setup and CPU allocated to that
VPS Hosting account should be sufficient to handle HTTPS quickly? Would be great if you could give one of your customer sites with HTTPS so that I could see it first hand.
3) One of my scripts queries external (not hosted on your network, but if things go very well I might consider colocation later) XML server using HTTP on port 8080, I can change this port but would rather not make it port 80, will it work as is?
4) Addon domains - I plan to go for CPanel as I am used to it, and will host a few domains on the same account, the concern here is whether you provide DNS services so that all I would need to do with my domains is change primary and secondary nameservers to point to your DNS server which in turn I'd expect to resolve to correct IP. This sounds obvious to me but the last hosting provider I tried a few days ago did not provide that - major bummer
5) My understanding is that you do have 30 days money back guarantee, and also in case of annual order if it is cancelled some months later then you will refund money "pro rata", ie for remaining months.
6) I am new to this
VPS Hosting hosting thing, it seems to be a good step up from virtual hosting, am I right expecting that it would generally perform better than virtual hosting that I'd expect would have more sites per server than with
VPS Hosting?
Thank you - I do hope that my search for a good hosting provider is over.
regards,
Alex
