Thanks Matthew, the domain in question that I mentioned in the support ticket is now resolving properly and the under construction page is showing.
Is this a "new" thing that happens when a domain is registered?. This
dns1.name-services.com thing gets entered as a default nameserver and I have to manually change it to point at my own nameservers?.
Also, when a domain gets registered and points at those default nameservers, will it always show this if someone types in the new domain in their browser? :-
When did this start happening?. I can't recall being told about this advertising "placeholder" page being applied to newly registered domain names, and it didn't happen for the domains I recently registered the previous week to the ones I now find the above html pages on?.
Also, I manually changed the nameservers in my Client area from the
dns1.name-services.com to my correct nameservers and it didn't get rid of that page above, it still displayed.
I'm just off to change all the other ones that appeared to be affected by this to the correct nameservers to see what happens and if it indeed, gets rid of that page above.
Naturally, you can see how a customer who has had a domain name purchased for them for a new
website hosting to be uploaded, would be concerned that this sort of advertising appears on their "website" even though the domain may only have been just registered and no files uploaded to it at the time.
