BTEC NATIONAL DIPLOMA IN COMPUTING FOR IT PRACTITIONERS

This new two-year full-time course is designed for students who want to gain a nationally recognised qualification in the field of Computing.

The course aims to:

* Provide studies in the fields of Computing and IT, which are directly relevant to the changing needs of employees and employers
* Provide programmes of study which are intellectually challenging
* Develop your range of skills and techniques, personal qualities and attitudes, which are essential for career development in the Computing and Technology sector
* Provide an education that forms a basis for progression to HND and graduate studies

The National Diploma consists of 18 units studied over 2 years. Some of the units completed will include:

* Language & communication
* Programming concepts
* Control technology
* Visual programming
*Website Hosting management
*Website Hosting design
* Software development project
* Application software development
* Software applications

I did the first diploma which was a year corse and i got a merit (28/36 Points). that course detais are bellow.

BTEC FIRST DIPLOMA FOR ICT PRACTITIONERS

This one-year course is designed for students who wish to gain a nationally recognised qualification in Computing.

This course aims to:

* Provide up-to-date subject matter in IT
* Provide an opportunity to learn a range of relevant IT skills
* Provide both practical and theory skills to allow progression on to other BTEC qualifications

Course Units:

* Using ICT to present information
* Introduction to computer systems
*Website Hosting development
* Software design and development
* ICT graphics
* Spreadsheet and database software

I have learnt php and MySQL Server of my own back in my spare time. Believe it or not this coming from a teen may sound odd but I want to do the best I can in ict so I am always dedicated to learning, and wont give up.
