Default Manchester Congestion Charge Supporting MPs Want New City Centre Car Park!

Manchester Uk Councillors back Congestion Charge but Want to Spend Millions on Their Own Car Park | The News is NowPublic.com

I mean come on Labour - this is truely taking the p***.

First of all you want to charge me, not once, but twice on my way to work, then twice on my way home, as well as making me pay for city centre car parking - but you (MPs) of course have these important meetings you *must* get to on time therefore its your *right* to have free city centre car parking? (I missed the boat on that one with my employer when I was renegotiating my contract!).

If the public transport system is going to be *that* great by 2013, then you simply could use the St Peters Square tram stop (or alternative bus) which is around a 20 second (and I'm being generous there!) walk from the proposed car park.

The reason why you are building this car park? - cos you know public transport will be just as crap in 2013 as it is today!!

Does this Labour government NOT LEARN! - throwing money at things DOES NOT make them better - the NHS and War in Iraq are classic examples.

The irony of the situation truely is killing me!! I have become that dissillusioned with this Labour governments pathetic policies you can count on losing yet another voter next election!

I mean, we already pay for your cars, petrol, tax and now car parking - how about we pay your congestion charge as well? Heck, why not just make yourself exempt from it. After all, we can afford it when most of us are on £16,000 to £30,000 a year and your on the measley sum of around £130,000 a year and my meetings are *obviously* not as important as yours!!

Soaring petrol prices, new stealth taxes - why don't you start taxing the air we breathe in the city centre?
