Hi Robert.. I doubt the server is
compromised/infected by a virus or either
corrupted the core system files, I'd recommend a complete system scan in this case.
Also, did you install any
windows updates recently ? If yes, remove them & recheck if the problems persists.. I'd further recommend you to check the security update from Microsoft related to the RPC overrun
here..
