Use Google Apps. That gives you a gmail service on your chosen domain - including the gmail interface should you need it, IMAP or POP3 retrieval and gmails 6.3Gb mailboxes that don't affect your
web hosting bandwidth/usage. I use google-apps for all of my domains.
