Hi Steven,

Rolling back the Plesk control panel to a previous version isn't possible as it is not supported. Also Plesk on all our servers is the final release of that version.

I am not sure why were you told that it is a bug in Plesk as it indeed not. The permissions get reset if either of these happen from the Plesk control panel:

1. Reset main FTP user's password from Setup.
2. Edit main FTP username from Setup.
3. Enable/Disable FP extensions from Setup.
4. Change PHP or ASP .NET versions from Setup.
5. Add/remove additional script languages from Setup.
6. Enable/disable dedicated Pool to a domain from Setup.
7. Reset additional FTP user's password from FTP manager.
8. Edit additional FTP username from FTP manager.
9. Plesk Control panel has been upgraded or repaired.

I can assure that Please has not been upgraded or repaired on the server. Editing any options in Setup menu runs a utility to reassign permission on the domain according to the updated data. And by default Plesk does not allow web users to have write permissions.
We will also make sure that no one is told that this is a bug in Plesk in future.
