Smile Some of what I wrote but lost... Re-written!

Hi Ryan and thanks for your reply to my posting.

Like I said, I was tired out when I left the previous feedback, so I’d like to take this opportunity to leave a little bit more!

I’d been up since early morning (around 4am) because I had to accompany HRH Prince Richard, The Duke of Gloucester around Orkney that day and, after leaving off when he’d gone to an official banquet, I went home and ‘Googled’ VPS providers. Yours was one of the first firms to be listed. I looked your site over and, more especially, read your forums to see what other users had said. After a short while I decided to have a ‘Live-Chat’ and was surprised to find that, for once, ‘Live’ meant ‘Live’! I typed away to a guy called Mike and he helped me to decide to give you guys a go. I signed up and paid one month’s dues through PayPal because I don’t trust people with my credit card these days!

What followed was, in short, quite amazing. I was in contact with John and Arron until just after 3am in the morning! Mails were coming and going back and forth I couldn’t keep up with them. The initial E-mail was full of wrong information but was corrected immediately I mailed support. In all I guess there was about 4 hours of contact one way and another which is truly amazing.

I’d been looking for a supplier for a VPS for about SIX months and had taken out accounts with numerous firms from such diverse places as Kansas City, Dallas, Australia, Germany, France, Canada, England, Scotland and only the night before I had had a FREE 24 hour trial with a company from the Netherlands which was atrociously slow. Not one of these companies was any good and only once did I receive any refund and that was from an American firm. The money I wasted was, when totalled up, quite significant as you can imagine.

Although I live on Orkney (which is a collection of approx 80 or so Islands) to the North-East of Scotland, I actually come from Shropshire, England (why I said that I don’t know!) Anyway, my worst experience was with a SCOTTISH company. Obviously I can’t name names but it was EASY to sign up with them and they offered me SPACE at quite a good price so I joined them and paid for a years hosting. After 24 hours I had an account running and they’d taken my money. Only then did I read through their online forum and it didn’t make for good reading...

I wrote to them asking them to cancel my account.

They wrote back saying they would, but I’d loose all my money!

I wrote back saying that was fine by me! After all, all I wanted to do was to get away from them after what I’d read and experienced!

They replied saying that I had to E-mail them all my account details and also my date of birth.

I replied giving all my account details but refused to give my date of birth.

They replied saying that they needed all the information again but this time by fax and that they also required my signature as well.

I faxed them everything they asked for by return.

FOUR days later I received an E-mail saying they had received the fax but it was impossible for them to cancel my account because they needed me to resend the fax with A) A copy of my birth certificate and B) A copy of my driving licence photo ID card!!!

By the way, most of the communications came from a lady (or man) by the name of Iwana Pissituponu! That’s a funny Scottish name I thought, but, in these days of multi-cultural Britain I didn’t take any notice... until it sunk in to my tiny mind when I read and re-read the mails. Surely I thought they must be taking the P***

It was at this time that I rang them to try and speak to Ms or Mr Pissituponu but they put the phone down on me... laughing!

I then went into my bank and took all the communications. They were very sympathetic but said they couldn’t do anything about things and would still pay the company in a year’s time if the company charged my credit card even though I’d requested them not to pay the automatically re-occurring yearly 'dip' into my card by the company. It ended up with me cancelling my credit card and having to write to the credit card company telling them that, as my credit card was cancelled, I would NOT pay any monies if they paid this or any other company. Apparently some credit card providers will still pay out forever and a day even if your card has been cancelled, cut up and returned to them!

I don’t know if I should have written the above but if it’s deemed ‘out of order’ then you guys will edit it out I presume? All I’ll say is please do not even think of getting any EASY space.

If you guys get any grievance from anyone over this truthful and honest account about this company please let me know.

All I really wanted to say is that (so far) I have no complaints about EUKHOST and have found them to be as true as their word. Polite, fast, dedicated and above all else HUMAN... But, then again, I’d expect that from people from County Durham as they’re the salt of the earth!

If you guys keep on like this you’re going to really go places and so you should. The service is second to none and the products too.

I believe that you take payments via bank transfer too? Having only taken out a monthly subscription to ‘try’ you out I’m more than willing to put my confidence in you and would like to pay for an annual subscription in this way so you don’t loose any money to PalPal or credit card companies. I’m sure you'll refund me if I want out at a later date because I have faith in you. If someone wants to let me know just how much I need to pay and to where, I’ll transfer the funds ASAP. Don’t forget to give me a little discount though for writing this!

I’d like to just add that I am, in NO WAY what-so-ever, connected to EUKHOST except through my hosting account and this is an unsolicited testimony provided by a very happy customer who feels that the old fashioned values EUKHOST has are to be praised and that credit should be given where it is due.

Sincerely,

Mike N-B
