I read your comment and find some useful information, thanks for the plugin too.  It is practically difficult job to filter the valid comments from a large bunch of spam comments especially when you are dealing with large number of blogs, however it's worth in case you find few genuine comments hidden in spam comments rather than deleting all spam comments in one stroke.
