I did that using Putty and the screen told me I was connected.
then I sat there for 5 mins wondering how to use what I'd just done to transfer some files off my old server to my new one. rofl I haven't got a clue.
I'm guessing I'd have to connect to my old server using Putty as well and then some how get the 2 to talk to each other.
I think I may need to concede on this problem and raise a ticket. I've tried to FTP the folder I need to move but after a while the connection gets forcibly closed. I think it's because the folder is almost 400MB
Unless there's another program I can use that I can open both the old and new server in a window and drag n drop the folder there using the server to send the info in sted of downloading it to my PC and then back to the server.
