We can setup mailing service for that domain on a cpanel server and make necessary changes in its DNS to make this work. Only problem for the customer would be management of 2 different control panels as they will need to configure mailing service from cpanel control panel and hosting from hosting controller.
I prefer Linux Cpanel servers for mailing service as linux is many times better when it comes to mail service.
