I know there are more appropriate forums out there for phpbb, but as I am a member of this forum, and as there are normally many people who are only too eager to help I thought I'd post here initialliy.
I'm running a phpbb forum on my
website hosting. Installed it from the control panel, found a nice skin and bang! up and running in no time, brilliant.
Now this is a small forum with only 24 members and it isn't advertised anywhere, but I've started to get spam accounts being registered, normally a couple a day. I tend to login daily and delete them but it's pretty irritating. On top of that the email addresses they use are of course fake, and any emails they get automatically are being bounced back to my account.
Anyone experienced the same thing? How did you deal with it?
