(Thunderbird can be found here: www. mozilla.com/thunderbird, it's great, like firefox for mail!)
In thunderbird the procedure is as follows:
1) 'Edit' -> 'Account Settings...'
2) 'New account...'
3) 'Email account' -> 'Next'
4) Your name -> The address -> 'Next'
5) 'POP' -> mail.yourdomain.com ->
6) Optional - Configure SMTP if needed, same server (mail. yourdomain.com)
7) 'Next'
8) theaddress@yourdomain.com -> 'Next'
9) Account Name (can be whatever) -> 'Next'
10) Review the setting and click 'Finish'
