What you have heard is right, basically .co.uk domains are always categorized as UK based in search engines whereas .com, .net and those are only categorized if you host on uk based servers! Besides, when you sign up with eukhost you will be satisfied and be alot happier since the servers are based in London UK you shoud be by far satisfied!
