Firstly, :welcome: to the forums JackyMe. Secondly, this category is fine for your topic.
Thirdly, Firefox rules - it is the number one and most definitely my favourite browser.
I use IE also, some sites seem to have a huge bias towards it, but all in all I use Firefox for my regular browsing. IE is getting better however.
I also use Safari and Chrome sometimes, but quite rarely.
My choices are as follows
1) Firefox 2.*
2) Opera 9*
3) Iron Browser
4) IE
5) Firefox 3.*

Brian - may I ask why Firefox 3 is the lowest? (even below, god forbit, IE ;)).

You must have tried Beta Version of FF 3. They had some severe problems with the Beta version, but there's absolutely nothing to complain about the latest stable version of FF 3 :)

One word.
Awsomebar.
Awsomebar? You've lost me :S.
Awsomebar is what, judging by the name, what the 13 year old deveopers at Mozilla called the new URL bar. I absolutely hate it, and yes, would use IE over Firefox 3 because of it.

Yep. Don't know why so many people don't like FF3, its perfect software.
I used Ff3 Beta through two weeks into release. Again.
Awsomebar. The most useless piece of software in a browse. Firefox 3 is the Widows ME of the browserworld. I will continue to use Ff2 till the people at Mozilla decide to let us customize the browser again.
I installed the 'oldbar' addon for Firefox 3 which makes the URL bar more like Firefox 2 again. Once that addon is added it's fine.

I actually quite like the "Awsomebar" part of FF3. Displaying the titles of pages makes navigation to previous pages so easy and I actually think its quite a good feature - it makes me want to use FF3.

Same. This is the only one reason I won't use Safari :).

Safari for Windows? Its a bit clunky for my liking - nothing like the Mac version! :)

I use 3 different ones depending what I'm doing
Firefox 3 is used for all my serious work - The Web Developer, FireFTP and IEView alone make it worth it's weight in Gold, . Add in configuration in the about:config and it's tops.
IE7 I use for it's Windows Live Personalised start page - 10-15 mins of distraction...err sorry...keeping up with industry trends :)
Chrome I use for this forum mainly because it's quick to get to.
Old Bar fixes the look of it but now how it behaves. You can change a few things but it will not be the same as a regular URL bar. So much for "taking back the web". Ff3 is forcing something on people, which is why I left IE in the first place.

It may be forcing an update on you, but I don't see the disadvantage / negative points of this improvement...
Firefox 3.0.3, IE 8.0 are my favorite internet browser.

IE 8 does seem an improvement on 7 but still nothing compared to FF3.

An improvement? ;) have you seen so many big websites out there, INCLUDING phpBB!! that their forum software isn't displayed properly in IE8? IE8 is no way an improvement yet ;).

Well I have only used it briefly to view a couple of websites and have a nose at the new features - not really put it through its paces yet (if ever lol).
I like Firefox too much :D.

I'm using Safari right now and even though I said that Safari isn't good its alright I guess, been using it in past few days without problems... it has a Cookie Deletion feature which I kind of needed to test my new PHP scripts so that's why I have no problem with using Safari so far :). Although, it has crashed a few times for me :frown:

I find Safari far too bloated on Windows. Have you ever used it on a Mac? - its like Firefox, with a bit less clunk, extremely reliable. The only problem is, seen as though some ignorant (or incompetant) webmasters deliberately design there website for IE (god knows why! - websites should be browser independant as much as possible!) it breaks a few sites. But then again, doesn't that make them not worth visiting in the first place? ;)
I'm using three browsers Mozilla Firefox, Opera and Google Chrome but mostly I use FF.
I generally use IE7 for things. Although for the forums I'm using FF3 as IE keeps wanting me to run realplayer scheduler which when I deny it doesn't like. I should probably look into that one. Lol.
