Try restoring your computer a month back as software may have been installed on your computer that causes this. Do you have antivirus software installed? If so scan your computer and if nothing comes up, and the problem persists restore your computer by going to Start>All programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore.

Sounds like spyware or adware to me - this is a usual trick they use.
Run a Spybot & Adaware scan and fix any problems and you should be all sorted :).
Just in case you don't have them on your computer, you can locate both pieces of software at the links below (both are free :)).
Spybot - Search and Destroy ---> The home of Spybot-S&D! (http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/)
Adaware 2008 -----> Ad-Aware 2008 - Reviews and free Ad-Aware 2008 downloads at Download.com (http://www.download.com/Ad-Aware-2008/3000-8022_4-10045910.html?part=dl-ad-aware&subj=dl&tag=top5&cdlPid=10844457)
Hope that helps :)

Internet is flooded with spyware, its terribly hard to avoid it, but best way is as soon as you have a clean install get up to date security packages as it only takes seconds before you can be infected :( Hope you get it sorted!

Very sound advice Robert - as always Windows Updates should be completely up to date. Now that you seem to be infected though, run the scans I suggested previously and you should be sorted :).
