Default Paying via Bank Transfer

Hello all,

Bank Transfers are still a very popular payment method and with the changes to the banking industry at the end of May(all payments cleared in 1 business day, instead of 3) we are sure that it will become even more popular. However, occasionally we do have a problem applying the payments correctly.

Please make sure to include either your Invoice Number or Client ID in the reference part of the transaction. We can then quickly check your account and apply the payments correctly. You will then receive an e-mail confirmation that payment has been applied. If no notification has been received, please contact our Billing Department.

Thanks!

This is welcome news about the changes to the banking industry. I hadn't heard about these but its definitely a good sign as when I pay with things through Paypal, to fund the transaction normally, it uses a bank transfer to pay paypal who in turn pay the company you are trying to pay.

Paying by bank transfer is a brilliant idea as the visa veri sign was doing my head in, as I could not get it to work (Still talking with my bank about that one) However the only snag I ran into last month was trying to pay via bank transfer with my online banking. I found that paying anyone who I had not previously paid before using this method, was subject to pin sentry which took seven working days to set up, and my hosting had to be paid as by now with the visa veri sign fiasco, the invoice was well overdue.

I had a few days of hair pulling out trying to get it paid, and then once I had managed it everything was suspended

Thanks to live chat and a helpful chap called Ashley we managed to get it sorted in the end, so thanks Ashley (I told you I would put a shout up for you )

I hope this month things will run more smoothly as I have just had my invoice in to pay....lol

Not sure with whom you bank, but you should consider Citbank or HSBC if you wish to experience best online banking service. Payments we send from our Citbank account are deposited in accounts of recipients on same day if their account is in UK, Europe or US.

Our primary account is with Lloyds TSB which has one of the slowest online banking system. It takes 3 days for received payments to get listed in our account and included details are quite minimal which makes it difficult to distinguish payments.

I have lived in Spain for the last 8 years so changing my UK bank account at this stage could be a problem as most banks insist on a Uk address when opening a new account.

I realise that Llyods TSB are slow I used to bank with them years ago. To date I have had no problems with my account at Barclays, and even here in Spain if I ring them with a query, they will ring me back.

It is the Spanish banks that need to get their act together, the left hand usually has no clue what the right is doing....lol
