30 quality posts is easy to do. Its more of a reward for helping people out on the forums anyway. Whateve question anybody has im sure 98% of the registered regulars have had the same and answer your questions too. Youre getting rewarded for helping, not for just posting. If I needed a domain id love this competition.

Ditto. I agree - I think it is a fantastic incentive to people not only to post 30 quality posts but to carry on and post many more

Initially very few people would consider joining some forum as no one would like to post in a forum no matter how intelligent other members on that forum are. Free domain offer gives them some reason to join forum and after 30 posts it becomes daily routine for most of them.

This offer works sometimes while sometimes you get to deal with spammers.

Maybe, I and Mark were talking some time ago about a new competition, and to cut the long story short, I will be trying to think of a new competition. We made this competition for some purposes and one of those was to get the forum with good activity.

Oh I appreciate that - this is more of a special offer than a competition though isn't it - so they could run concurrently.

What kind of competition were you thinking about? I have some ideas if your stuck

i can see where your all coming from

but if i was to get a free domain then id need a hosting package to go with it right ??? So there for id be talked into getting one from here and in the end up you eukhost would be the winners

why not give one of your loyal customers 1 years free hosting ?

hosting aint expensive these days its easy to pick up.

reason im here is im getting prices and feedback

You could use the free domain name with a free web host provider as has been done very recently by a member of the forum. eUKhost does not prohibit this so you are not really "talked into getting one from here" if you don't want it. We having living proof in an existing member here! - eUKhost even set up the domain for him (which of course they didn't have to do!).

Yes, of course it is!!

I was just making sure that you knew the free domain competition isn't a "trap" that forces you to get a hosting package here. We choose to get the hosting package here because it is great and the free domain is a bonus!!

I don't think you can actually get cPanel, HostingController or Plesk on Mac OS at all, so no. Do you have any experience at all in domains or hosting? Linux is an operating system yes, same as Windows. Now, suppose you have your own "space" on this server where you can create your own website hosting, let's say on a Linux. Here at eUKhost with Linux OS's you get cPanel. Now to create your own website hosting you go into this cPanel control panel and then your ready to set off. I do recommend getting some experience in the domain & hosting industry before even applying for domains & hosting. Just experiment with features inside cPanel and you'll get to know it fast! Are you hosted with eUKhost or another provider?
