already a customer .. thinking of moving to semi decited
hi guys..
i got a standrd reseller package .. i pay 9.99 per month..
i also have a online shop and is currenty hosted on 1and1. the website was runnning fine for a while and now 1and1 keeps moaning about my website using alot of resources since the traffic to my website increased,..

MY shop has over 14000 items and the number will increase. i use easy populate to upload stuff.. i also run sts, Search Engine Optimization contrib.i also have a number of user tracking conribs..
i need to know if eukhost will be ok with me moving the website over.
If it is ok..how long will it take to move my reseller website over..i need to move my shop asap.i wll also need a ssl certificate..
if i have more questions i will ask them later

Our new servers which are getting filled right now are "Core 2 Duo Quad Core Q6600, 8 MB cache, 8 GB RAM" Servers so there should be absolutely no problem for your website.
Size of your database must be more so it needs more RAM. You can signup for a new semi dedicated server plan and choose SSL addon at the time of signup. once you have completed signup then you can open a ticket for our support team to get your account transferred from 1and1 to our servers.
logs sent by them show more queries and less connections / updates / select / del. Server should face problem only when the "connections / updates / select / del" increases and not when the queries are more.

how soon can the server be up and running..is there a quciker way to copy files from my 1and1 to the semi dedicated server.. i would prefer to have it up and running tonight,,
my website been down all day... many thanks for your prompt reply. also are the semi dedicated server located i uk.. and if i want more hard disk space on the server in the future how much will dat be..
can u simply upgrade upgrade my current reseller package to semi dedicated

Hello Irfan,
If you signup online for the semi dedicated plan then the welcome email with login details will be sent within 20 minutes. You can simply open a ticket immediately once you complete the order process.
It wont be possible to upgrade your existing reseller plan to semi dedicated on same server so we will need to move it to new server which is reserved for semi dedicated customers. If you want to get your existing reseller account merged with the semi dedicated server then let me know and I will do the adjustment from my end.

it's 6am .. i paid for the service.. i wad told there would be no down time yet all the websites on reseller package and primary domain are down....this is not what i was promised..
i am already under stress from 1and1 shabby service .. i thought you guys were different..
i ahvent recived no email. and i cant login in to my reseller account either..

ok primary website is up...yet no email..and still cant login to the siteand no idea if it has been upgraded

Matthew was taking care of your transfer and as you requested migration of your reseller account on the semi dedicated server so downtime of 30 - 60 minutes had to be there due to DNS propagation.

Your database on 1and1 was big and it took some time to migrate your database as we needed to download it on our end and then upload it FTP to restore on the server.

my databse on 1and1 was around 20 meg.. and it was uploaded by a colleague of mine to your server
i asked mathew about how to tranfer files from my 1and 1 to you and he never answered that questions. he answered all the other questions but not this. i ended up downloading the files to my local machine. rared it and uploaded it to you server in a rar formar.
now i cant unrar it.i have submitted a ticket .
took me over 12 hours as my connection is not fast enough and neither is my upload.

Moving big files and websites like that can be a very challenging tasks at times. The way you described is the way I have had to move files in the past as well. There is probably another way, but I don't know of it yet. Unfortunately with a website as big as yours it can take a few hours to get everything up and running again  .
But the account has been fully set up successfully from what Mark has said and that was completed in a short amount of time so hopefully you won't have too much more downtime due to transferring files across.
Just keep positive and it will all be worth it in the end!

I was expecting him to figure out how to get account transferred from 1and1. not sure why he could not do that.
I will have a word with him when he is back in his shift and will let you know the reason for delay.

I'm sure there was a similar problem like this not too long ago but the files were transferred very fast. Maybe there was a problem at 1and1s end?

need to Talk to Matthew first. I had given strict instructions to him to get the account moved with priority. I left at 1 AM so I am not sure what went wrong after that.

I had updated you on your registered email address as in our billing system.
If you have CPanel/WHM then we will transfer your sites/account for this you will have to provide Cpanel Login details of all accounts you want to transfer. Regarding databases upload the DB backup in .sql format or provide the ftp login details to download the backup files on server and open a support ticket at our support desk with backup file name and DB Name you want to restore. Will restore it.

Dear Irfan,
I had a look at chat transcript that you had with Matthew and Christine and it seems that whole thing got completely spoiled due to problems with your email account that you have in our billing system.
I sincerely apologize for this problem as I escalated your chat to wrong person. It should have taken only 5 - 10 minutes for me to do whole thing but I need a break from tech support.
I hope you had requested migration work before end of day as that would have allowed me to monitor progress of transfer of your accounts.
