Hello, I hope this response will address your questions.
1) Our backup services come with access cPanel to create and manage FTP accounts. The actual backup account can be acessed via FTP, and is mountable as a Network Drive on MS Windows.
2) Our backup servers are located in Chicago, Illinois, USA.
3) The backup servers themselves are RAID-10 servers ensuring that your data is kept safe, as the data will be mirrored on multiple hard drives.

Hi Josh,
thanks for the reply.
I'm looking for somewhere to store MySQL backups via FTP, so I was hoping that your backup servers would be in the UK in order to reduce transfer times.
Out of interest, what's the minimum order period for your service?
Can I pay monthly "as I go"?
Cheers

I think there may be some backup servers in the UK, although off-site backup is a better option; I'll have a senior to reply regarding this. You can be with us for as long as you want, whether it be one month of one year; and of course you have the option to pay yearly or 'as you go'.

Our backup plans are quite cheap so we have no monthly payment option for the backup plans. We have 30 day unconditional money back guarantee and in case you wish to cancel in future then the balance amount would be refunded for unused term.
We have backup servers in UK as well as US so you can specify where you want to have your backup plan activated. You can leave a comment in the order form to notify us about preference of location.
You will have SSH access as well as FTP access to your backup space which will allow you to upload / download your data manually from your end as well as automate backups of any of your hosting accounts hosted anywhere.

Yes, being only £12 a year (£1 a month) for the 2GB backup service it would be a lot easier for you to pay for the year than seperate £1 installments - and like Mark has mentioned - if your not satisfied after 30 days you can get your money back.

that's great - thanks for your help!
Out of interest, can anyone recommend a reliable, easy to use backup script?
Needs to run in a php/nix environment.

I'm sure there are many around if you search on Google but I can't personally recommend one as I have never had a need to use on it the past. I have always preferred manual backups as I am scared and skeptical and worry all day about whether the automated backup worked and I end up doing it manually any way so now I don't bother with the automation at all.

The support guys have some backup scripts which they may be able to implement for you.

Thats interesting - wasn't aware of that. Oh well, you don't even need to search Google now if you ask support nicely .

I assume its an order for backup services - I can't find a specific address for the backup services but maybe contacting support [at] eukhost [dot] com with your account details - they might be able to sort it for you.

I was thinking about saying billing - but then thought if the order had already gone through I wasn't sure if they could access it or whether it would need to go on to support .

Thats good - it means at whatever stage the order is - whether its been processed and been added or whether its currently being processed it will get through to the right people and I am sure they will be able to make the necessary modifications for you.

Unfortunately I seem to have caused confusion!
I've received emails from 'support' & 'signup', both saying they can set me up on a UK server so go ahead and order - but I have ordered! (and I did say in my email that I have placed my order)
I would like my account moved over from what appears to be a US server ( 64.38.53.18 ) to a UK one.
Hopefully the confusion will shortly be resolved.
Regards

If not, just drop them another email saying you've ordered.
