Can the free domain with a hosting package be 1 year of a .org ?

I'm looking at your yearly Linux Web Hosting and realised that they come with a 1 year free domain, but looking at the Domain Pricing only .com, .net, .biz and .info are marked for this. Is is possible to get the first year of a .org, .co.uk or .org.uk domain as the 'Free Domain' (so the cost would be the hosting cost + £9 for the second year of the domain registration) ?

Hi, how are you? To answer your question, Yes, if you get a free domain, you may use it for 1 year and than pay to keep it running.

Hello Robin,

You can sign up for the package with a .org domain without paying the second year's registration fee at the time of sign up as the 1st year's registration is free. In case of .co.uk or .org.uk the 1st year's registration would be free but you will have to pay the second year's registration fee at the time of sign up as UK tlds are to be registered for a minimum of two years as per the rules of Nominet.

Yes, don't forget anything without .uk in can be registed year on year. So your total invoice will just be your hosting for the year. Then in your second year it will be the same you paid for the first year + the yearly domain cost.
