Default Choose CP options ?

Hi all,
I currently have 1 account with you and now that the new year is nearly upon us will be buying another.
I will be looking at a Linux/CP Panel account and wondered if it is possible to specify what CP options are included in it.
For eg, If I did'nt want the Perl option could I request this be left out ?
I should add I'm not looking to get a cheaper account just trying to reduce the "clutter" as it were.
Thanks,
Jon

Hello Jon

You are looking for high resource hosting plan with Linux which is stable and secured OS. We offer C-Panel-WHM or Plesk as control panel with linux VPS Hosting, Semi-Dedicated & Dedicated hosting.

You can get customized CP as per your requirement. For example you can get CP without Perl option. You have to mention which Icons are not needed at the time of Ordering a VPS Hosting, Semi-Dedicated or Dedicated hosting plan.

If you have any queries please feel free to ask.

Hi Jon,

You can specify the CP options to be included and which options to be left out in your cPanel if you opt for a VPS Hosting, Semi Dedicated or a Dedicated Server, however CP options customization won't be possible on a shared hosting plan.

Hi all,
Many thanks for the replies and [as usual] very helpful answers.
I'm not quite ready yet to go solo so will be having another shared account.
I just thought I'd find out, it all helps for the future.
Regards,
Jon

Hello Jon

I would suggest, you should go for VPS Hosting instead of new Shared account. VPS Hosting will provide Dedicated environment with more resources & features with customization.

Do not worry about your unbilled Shared account, we will take care of it. If you go for up-gradation the unbilled amount of your existing plan is adjusted in new plan & you need to pay rest amount only.

Still having any queries feel free to ask.

Hello Jon,

Stay with shared hosting as of now as VPS Hosting can result in huge frustration initially. Managing a VPS Hosting is like managing a Dedicated Server and most of the times you don't like to stay on livechat or open multiple tickets to get things organized.

If you can spare few days right now then you can consider VPS Hosting option

As Mark has said, VPS Hosting can be a pain intially and it all depends on your needs for whether you need it. If you have a reasonable knowledge of running a server and how things work behind the scenes then a VPS Hosting may be for you but if you're just running a lower resource site, shared hosting is probably best.

Default [url=http://www.eukhost.com/vps-hosting.php]VPS Hosting[/url], not for me

Hi all,
Sorry for not replying sooner to your posts, I don't know how I missed them.

I've read the blurb about a VPS Hosting account and thanks for suggesting it but I feel it's way too advanced for my current level of knowledge, I'd drive support mad with all my questions.
Maybe one day eh ?!

If I can just explain my plans it may help you to help me more ?!
Up until a few years ago I was a herdsman working 7 days a week with not a minute to spare. It was always my dream to have an educational type web site hosting [following work at an agricultural college] with all the trimmings but never any time to do anything about it.

However, girls will be girls, cows can be contrary beggars at times and following an accident with one I was left part-disabled and unable to carry on my normal duties.
They say some good comes out of bad and how right they are !
It was now possible for me to follow my dream, I don't half miss the girls and would sooner be with them but that's life. You either get up and walk or spend your life feeling sorry for yourself after a bad accident, strange but true.

So, first things first . . .
I wanted a place for members to meet up in, a place they could share photo's of cows in and a place to act as an educational resource and maybe tell stories about cows in. So in other words, a forum, image gallery and blog with maybe a website hosting for Search Engine Optimization purposes.
Free or paid ?
I've tried Free and whilst it's good when it works if it goes wrong there's no-one around to fix it in my experience.

So, which paid host ?
I need one I can rely and have faith in, one I can trust.
Here I am !

So, I've tried the Copper Linux, it's been more of a learning experience and a valuable one at that !
I've had to learn about sub-domains, databases etc, [and still am learning] which you all probably take for granted, to me it's been a steep learning curve but very enjoyable.
I've found which forum software, image gallery and blog I want to use largely by a process of elimination.
Try one and if it suits learn how to customise it. I only hope I hav'nt caused anyone any extra work with my messing.
I do know that with all the support and help I've had here you will have to really mess things up for me to ever think about moving.

I think now that I've decided what I want I will go for the Bronze plan next time [next week] as it's got a bit more room for me.
Sorry to rabbit on but if I lay my cards out you know how best to advise me.
I hope this helps you to help me ?
Regards,
Jon

Hi Jon,
It's good to see something good can come out of a bad situation. And by telling us all of that, it should enable everyone on here give you better advice for your needs!

From what you've said, shared hosting should be sufficient for your needs. As you are doing, if you need more space or anything like that, simply upgrade and shared hosting means you don't have to deal with the technical stuff making everything work. I've recently upgraded from shared hosting to a VPS Hosting and it has been one very steep learning curve! I swear I've sent support mad with the number of times I've been on but I think I'm getting there now. As with you, I learn by playing about and seeing what works best. That's how I've always learnt with computers - play about with them so you can see what's going on. Occasionally it's caused a few problems but it means you learn from your mistakes!

Anyway, if there's anything you ever want to know or want advice, I'm sure myself and everyone else on here would be more than happy to help!

Jonathan
