Domain Transfer to your Hosting

Hi!

I have an existing domain and would like to transfer the hosting of this domain to one of your servers.
Can you please advise on the length of time this would take as my primary email address is also attached to my existing domain/hosting company.

Hello Joe,

It takes 12 - 24 hours for successful transfer of the domain name.

If you want your .com / .net/ . org / .biz / .info domain name to be transferred under our registration then you will need to ask your existing registrar to provide the transfer authorization key and with help of that we can initiate transfer of your domain name to pull it under our registration.

If you want your UK TLD domain name transferred under our registration then you will need to request the existing registrar to change the IPS tags of the domain name ( only if its a UK TLD domain ) and make them point to "enom" ( without quotes). Once they change the tags then we will accept your domain name under our registration.

Hi!

Thanks for the swift reply. I have requested the transfer authorization key as it is a .com domain.
When I use the online ordering system, will there be a form field or comments box that I could put this key into?

Hello Joe,

You will get a field in order wizard to put the authorization key. Billing system will automatically take care of initiating transfer request and your domain name will be fetched under our registration once it is released by your existing registrar. You will receive transfer approval email which you need to check and click on approve transfer for smooth release of your domain name from existing registrar.

Hello Joe,
Just wanted to add a bit to what Mark mentioned in the reply. There is usually a transition period of 48 hours. During this period, some of the servers worldwide will send mail to the old host. So just keep their (old system's) login passwords handy. If you don't see some mail here, it will be there.

If you use a webmail method using domain name, example http://yourdomain.com/webmail, then keep an alternate way to access the same as well (such as http://youroldhost.com/webmail)
