With the hosting package ive taken out.. it says that eukhost give 1 year free domain name of your choice using only .com or .net | Ive not yet used this and as it comes in my package, does this mean i can do as i please? can i donate it too a friend for 1 year ?

Yes. You can request for the domain name anytime as per your convenience. You can donate it to your friend and you can give him one addon domain space in your account with separate FTP login to make him / her feel happy

ok how do i order my free domain name ? ive got one id like to use and host on my hosting package as an addon for a friend.

Hello,

If you have already purchased your web hosting without the free domain. Normally you would have to contact sales/support dept. from here: http://support.eukhost.com/index.php?x=&mod_id=4 and include a URL to this topic and with your request.

well ive noticed that the admins also help customers over these forums too. just as easy to ask here.

You can ask advice here, and eukhost admins will be happy to give it - but if you want any changes to your account then it will have to be done through support.

Our billing team manually needs to add your domain name in billing system and we need to ensure that you get an invoice for the domain name next year as the domain will be free for first year only. You need to open a ticket for our billing department to take care of this as they are the one's who need to ensure proper setup of your billing account and associated packages.

btw david im not being a twat here .... just telling you how i see things... the 2 website hostings you have offer no info to me at all. infact any of the news storys you have can be found on the bbc website hosting anyways.

As you may understand, the British Broadcasting Corporation is a company, partly funded by the government and license fees (which are currently £132 a year per household) and last year made a profit of over £4000 million pounds.

I am single person, also a student, with an annual income of just above £0 per year.

So as you can understand I don't have a 24 hour news team, I don't have millions to spend on an exclusive and I don't have 8 hours a day everyday to put into my website hosting and reporters on location around the world. The news section you are refering to must be on the latter website hosting (although you seem to indicate they may be on both website hostings - which to me would indicate that you haven't read very much!) and as I have said, it has only just launched and I am trying to run more than my 2 website hostings.

Bear in mind neither website hosting has been up for more than 8 months (the latter hasn't even been up a month) and I am the only person working on it. On top of that I have 3 jobs (which can take up to anything out of 16 hours out of my day sometimes) and I am also a full time student trying my hardest to get my degree. So, please, forgive me if things aren't moving at the pace you desire. I do want to point out though that the website hosting is updated fairly often and I have had numerous comments stating that the site(s) had helped them - therefore I will continue my work.

If you desire for me to see what information you have not found / found useful then you may give me your IP address and then I can see how much of the website hosting you have actually browsed.

If you have any suggestions or would indeed like to contribute something that you believe would be useful (an article, news story etc) to either of the website hostings then please feel free to send it to me.

Also, I do spend quite a lot of time on this forum helping others out which does eat into my time for my own website hostings - but I do this as it is in my nature - I like helping other people when I can.

As you are refering to why the old online games section was taken down, it was taken down for abuse. As I had no time to investigate the abuse the best way to stop it was hault the games being abused.

im not having ago at you btw dave... i looked around both website hostings and found them to be more of a blog than an info website hosting on computers.

i run a little gaming website hosting and we cover gaming articles i get feedback all the time about stuff. Just one of them things m8

I understand what you are saying, however my task would appear to be far greater as I run and design over 5 website hostings (some business, some personal) whereas you only seem to run 1 small website hosting. Plus computing is a much larger subject than gaming (which is actually part of the computing subject) so therefore it will take me longer to get it to the same stage.

Also, I have added the "personal" touch to my website hosting as many website hostings about computing seem stiff, technical and inhuman - which is no good for 90% of the people out their on the net!

I understand that you are not having a go - I welcome all feedback!
