Installing Own OS on Dedicated Server?

Hi

I'm very interested in a dedicated server but I was wondering if I can install my own operating system? Normally I would boot up a server with a CD-ROM but with a remote server I'm not sure how?

Any ideas?

I am not sure whether you could physically install the OS yourself but I am sure if you tell support or sales while you are ordering that you want a specific OS on your dedicated server they will be happy to install it for you.

You wont be able to install your OS but you can let us know which OS you need and we will install that for you. As the server is located away from you so you wont be able to use your CD-ROM with the server. We have to perform OS installation for you.

I don't think that would be easy, however, when signing up for a domain registration and hosting provider, ask for an os installation you want. Just tell them the OS you want them to install and they should do that for you.

That is an exact copy of what was said above. It really doesn't help to repost other peoples messages again and again - it just clogs the forum up with unnecessary messages!
