Question Just a few questions...

Had a look at your prices and found them to be extremely competitive and by the comments your customers leave I get the impression your service is extremely good too.

One thing worries me though - I'm thinking of investing in a dedicated server so obviously it's a big investment. I got your registered address off the website hosting and, seen as I live in Durham, decided to had a drive to your offices however the address given is an unoccupied council house.

Another thing too, all of the content on your website hosting is written in the grammatical style of someone who has learned English as a second language - I decided to look into your company and my research tells me that your tech support is provided by eTech Support of Rohan Heights, Maharashtra, India.

I'd just like to know the following:

1) Are you registered for VAT? If so, what's your registration number
2) How many customers (approx) are on the books
3) Exactly how many staff do you employ in the UK and where are your offices - was I right in my search?
4) What role does eTech Support play in the running of eUK - Mark, Rock, etc - are you employees of eUK or eTech Support
5) What is your relationship with webhosting.uk.com, Host Heaven and Bodhost

Don't mean to be too nosey but I'm just about to shell out a lot of money!

You are right that the prices are extreamely competative and from customers comments you can see the service is good - I can vouch for that being one of those customers myself!

As I have not been to Durham for a while, or searched out the offices I cannot really comment on this, although I am sure someone from eUKhost will be along shortly to answer any of these concerns that you have! They are very helpful!

As far as support is concerned I have always talked to someone from the eUKhost team. And, again as far as I understand, Mark and Rock are both employees of eUKhost.

With regards to the English, English is my first language but I have problems getting everything right sometimes when I am typing fast - and I'm not an English degree graduate either

Sorry that I could not answer most of your questions but they are quite complicated!

Like I said I am sure someone from eUKhost will be along shortly to answer your questions!

Thanks for the reply.

Maybe I'm being a bit over-cautious but my previous hosting company folded overnight and, having paid yearly, I lost 9 month's rent on two dedicated servers, wasn't very happy.

I'm not mentioning any names as I don't want to get sued (it's not difficult though - just put one and one together!) but the host I'm with at the moment is a lot bigger but the technical support is appalling and I've actually experienced a bit of downtime with them.

The way that the members seem to interact on this board indicates that eUK is an outstanding company, the 'everybody helps each other' thing - I really like that, call me a sceptic but I'm just waiting for the catch - all seems a little too good to be true.....

Hello Rocksta,

You should have called us before leaving from Leeds as we would have had someone to welcome you in Durham. I am not sure which address you tried to verify but let me know when you will come back and we will have someone to welcome you to our office.

You can also visit our London office which has been recently started. address has not been published on the website hosting so far as the office is not completely setup so far but you can come and see the office in its existing state.

I am not able to understand your other questions as I've never heard of etech support, Host Heaven and Bodhost.

You can provide us with your contact information and one of our sales staff will contact you and get your appointment to meet you. all your questions can be answered when you meet someone 1 - 1 from our sales staff.

I hope you have no problem with My English. If you can point me to something on the website hosting which doesn't look perfect from your view then I can get it changed to make it look good to you.

not sure which company charges 1 year upfront for a dedicated server but you have done big mistake with that decision. We have our servers based in London but we cannot have all 50 people working from London as average Salary that we will need to pay would be £3500 per month per person. We have some University students working for us and our direct staff in India as well. This staff has been working for us for more than 3 years and thats when our company started growing. We are focussed on giving good service to our customers and we need to work out economical route to achieve this as you cannot spend all your income in paying for staff and servers. Company can never survive if you don't reserve anything for Marketing and Advertising. You can easily figure out how much we are spending for online advertisements.

Some customers who have posted in How many Eukhosters? have been with us from 2002 - 2003. I don't think that anyone would stay with 1 hosting company for such a long time if support cannot be rated 10 / 10.

Don't confuse "too good to be true" with a "good offer". eUKhost offers a great service - we wouldn't waste our time, as customers, posting messages like this and helping others unless we felt like we have been helped ourselves!!

Like eUKhost have said, you can have someone greet you on your next visit to ensure that all is well.

Also, with dedicated services at eUKhost you pay for them monthly, not yearly and to be honest, they don't look like they are going to go under .
