Hello

I am interested in moving our 10 sites from shared hosting to your semi-dedicated. They are all joomla based - 1gb size in total, with 20gb bandwith/month.

I have some questions:

What is your policy on excessive cpu usage, and how do you deal with it?

Are backups included?

Is there any information available on how good your network is?

Are there some other customers who have this service that I could speak to?

With Semi-Dedicated server you can experience the virtual dedicated environment. All Semi-Dedicated plans are hosted on fastest Q6600 server where you will get 2 GB dedicated RAM. We host only 4 accounts on each server & each server is having 100 Mbps dedicated connection.

What is your policy on excessive CPU usage, and how do you deal with it?
CPU usage is shared among all accounts on that node & the usage is monitored by our 24 by 7 support team. In case your cpu usage exceeds a certain limit, you will be notified by our support team.

Are backups included?
No, you will need to purchase the additional backup space, where you can configur your daily/weekly/monthly backup.
More information about backup click here. We take weekly backups of all our servers but thats just to avoid any sort of data loss due to HDD failure. If you need a copy of backup from our weekly backup then you will need to pay for it.

Is there any information available on how good your network is?

All our servers are connected on 100 Mbps dedicated network & we have 2×10 GBps uplink for our data center.


Are there some other customers who have this service that I could speak to?

Thank you. The cust testominial section seems to be mainly about the quality of the support received when there was a problem, which is good to know. I have still to get a feeling for how effective the semi-dedicated solution vps is performance-wise. If there are any clients of eukhost who are on this, I would welcome a pm.

Performance of a semi-dedicated or a VPS is much better as compared to shared hosting as you get dedicated amount of server resources for your usage. The new servers which we are filling up right now are Core 2 Quad Q6600 processors with 8 MB CPU cache and 8 GB RAM. The Q6600 server is completely performance oriented and we set-up only 4 semi dedicated accounts per server which maximizes every account's resource usage limit and enhances performance considerably.

A lot of our VPS and Semi Dedicated hosting clients are active on the forum so you can expect a feedback from some of them in this thread or via PM very soon.
