Default Looking for UK reseller account

Hi,

I've had a quick look at your forums, and see that you seem to offer a quick and personal service, as opposed to large corporation, with standard answers.

Your forums seem quite new, why is that? How long have you been trading, as eukhost.com, do you have any other hosting names?

I was wondering about your dns nameservers, do new accounts use eukdns.com nameservers?

If its not business sensitive, how many servers do you have?

I currently have a reseller account, datacentre is in US. So looking to host some of the domains here in UK, hopefully getting a quicker response for UK browsers.
Some of the domains I manage from my own control panel, others I give a control panel to the end user. Is there a charge for the control panels?

Thanks,
Av

ps. I just noticed that you use cpanel for the control panels..... I think my existing host stopped using cpanel last year due to some security concerns. I dont know anything about the issues, but were the cpanel issues resolved if any?

Hello Av,

I have answered your questions as follows :-

Q.1 Your forums seem quite new, why is that? How long have you been trading, as eukhost.com, do you have any other hosting names?
Ans :- Our forum was started last year in September through we are in business from 2001. Earlier we had our support through our help desk only but our management decided to start a forum as well as a blog to allow all our customer to have a place for open discussion.

Q.2 I was wondering about your dns nameservers, do new accounts use eukdns.com nameservers?
Ans :- we use eukdns.com for our shared servers. Resellers can setup their private nameservers from their WHM.

Q.3 If its not business sensitive, how many servers do you have?
Ans :- We have 20 shared servers and 10 Reseller servers. We also have 4 nodes for VPS Hosting plans and 10 dedicated servers.

Q. 4 I currently have a reseller account, data center is in US. So looking to host some of the domains here in UK, hopefully getting a quicker response for UK browsers.
Ans :- Yes. Your customers will see the difference in browsing speed as well as download speed as our Data center in UK is running on a 15 gbps backbone and very few data centers in US have such kind of backbone.

Q. 5 Some of the domains I manage from my own control panel, others I give a control panel to the end user. Is there a charge for the control panels?
Ans :- You can setup unlimited accounts from your WHM. Only restriction for your account would be the space and bandwidth. There's no other limits enforced on any features.

Q. 6 I just noticed that you use cpanel for the control panels..... I think my existing host stopped using cpanel last year due to some security concerns. I dont know anything about the issues, but were the cpanel issues resolved if any?
Ans :- Your existing host stopped using cpanel as they didn't keep their servers updated with regular security tweaks and patches. All our servers are running latest kernel's and we don't allow SSH access on any of our servers ( excluding one shared server, VPS Hosting and dedicated servers ). root access is also disabled on our shared servers and reseller servers and custom rules of mod_security, php.ini ensure security of servers from commands executed through browser. We have expertise in management of Linux servers and recently we have improved our windows knowledge as well.

Hi,

Thanks for answering my questions so quickly.

Are all your servers in the UK, or do you have some servers in UK and some in USA?

What type of account do i need to take to ensure UK server?

Thanks,
Av

Our old servers are in USA. We started filling our UK cabinets from 2006 and all servers before 2006 were setup in our Cabinets with Hurricane Electric and FastServers.

Right now we are filling our UK servers for Linux / Cpanel, Windows Shared, Windows Reseller, VPS Hosting and semi dedicated hosting plans. We have one UK server and 1 USA server getting filled simultaneously for Cpanel / WHM Reseller hosting plans so if you need your web hosting accunt on UK based servers then just add a comment at the time of signup and one of our accounts person would take care of it.

We wont discontinue using our USA servers as we have remote backups configured which make weekly backup of UK servers on USA servers and USA servers on our UK servers.

OK,

Thanks for the very fast reply.

I was a little curious that your eukdns.com was hosted in the US, at fastservers.

Finally are you partners / sister company with redback internet solutions who are at web hosting.uk.com?

I am quite interested in your linux VPS Hosting package, I'll read up more about it on your website hosting.

Thanks,
Av

We are using eukdns.com for setup of nameservers from more than 4 years so we had nameservers on eukdns.com initially pointing to our USA servers.

Some of our servers use eukhost.com and ukhostsupport.com as well for nameservers and we point zones to respective servers.

You can take a look at list of some of our shared servers from Shared SSL Certificates Added.

web hosting.uk.com is owned by close friend of Robert and we have very good relationship with them.
