Hi - I currently have a euK package which I am very happy with. I have a client who needs a simple hosting support (copper plan would be more than adequate and at a great price) plus support for traditional Mailman mailing lists - ie mailing lists where anyone on the list can email a message to everyone else on the list. These would be a mixture of closed lists and at least one which has open access and self administered joining/leaving support.
Now I may have missed something but I do not think this sort support is included in the basic Copper plan, and I dont see any current PHP type packages which could support all the features required - eg PHPlist is an announcement only mailing list.
Any suggestions on how I can accomplish this using eukhosts, at low/reasonable cost? Running mailiman directly on a VPS host would be too expensive and not justified given the low overal usage here.
Thank You for your interest in eUKhost services. Mailman mailing lists are supported on all our cPanel Hosting plans including Copper plan. You can create multiple Mailman mailing lists. There is however a hourly limit on the number of outgoing emails per domain which is 200 in case of cPanel hosting and this limit also applies towards Mailman.
Ryan - thanks for the reply - yes I just had another look at that in my own account and discovered my error! I suggest the decscription on cPanel should be a little more complete, eg the ability for people to join and leave by themselves, archives of postings etc.
