Question Python on Shared or Reseller Hosting servers?

Do you have Python installed on Shared or Reseller servers?

And Subversion?

Thanks,

Could I edit php.ini and httpd.conf on a VPS plan? Or a Semi-Dedicated plan?

Hello,

Python 2.4.3 is installed on few of our Shared and Reseller account servers. Editing php.ini and httpd.conf is possible only with a VPS or a Dedicated server. It is not possible with a Semi-dedicated plan as Root access is not available with a semi dedicated plan.

So if I opened a Shared/Reseller account, could I request to be setup on one with Python?

If so I will sign up today!

I may want to upgrade to VPS/Dedicated soon.

Do the Semi-Dedicated plans support the use of something like a vhost.conf file to add Apache directives/handlers?

Yep, you can sign-up for the package you wish to and mention the Python requirement in the 'Comments' column at the time of sign-up, we will setup your account on the server with Python support. You can upgrade to a VPS/Dedicated anytime when you need to.

vhost.conf file support is available on our VPS and Dedicated server plans only.

Feel free to ask if you have any further queries.

Awesome.

I think I have just 1 more question...

If I started with a Reseller plan and setup a few domains etc, would it be very easy to move everything across to a new server if I upgraded to VPS at a later date? i.e. replicate everything seamlessly on the new server.

And also could I get a Enom Reseller account with the VPS plan - or would I have to sort it out myself?

Cheers,

EDIT: Ok so that was 2 questions

Upgrade to a higher plan at any point of time is possible and the move across would be easy and instant so you can sign up for a Reseller plan if you wish to and upgrade to a VPS later.

Even if you sign up for a VPS right away, you can still get the enom reseller account with it. All you will need to do is open a ticket for Sales Department. The login details of enom account would be sent to you as soon as it is setup.

Feel free to ask if you have any further queries, we will be glad to assist you
