Default Reseller hosting questions

Hello,

I have a couple of questions that I would be grateful if you could help me answer.

I have several website hostings and am having issues with my current provider. Basically the website hostings (about 6 in total) get one hell of a lot of spam. Were taking approximately 1000 a day here. The issue arises that the inbox gets full very quickly and eventually the email system grinds to a halt. I would there like to know if it is possible to have some server side spam protection. On a reseller package? It doesn’t have to be great just half a job would suffice as we have Sophos on the exchange server here.

What is your current uptime record? And when was your last downtime? What was the reason?

Do the packages all come with there own SMTP? Ie mail.domain.com?

Do the reseller packages have custom name servers?

Thanks,

Hello Andy,

We already have SpamAssassin 2.64 (Spam Filter) installed on our servers. All e-mails processed through the server are scanned for spam on the server itself. We use SpamAssassin email filter to provide you spam free mails in your inbox.

We offer uptime guarantee of 99.95% with all our packages. The last downtime we faced was in the last month when we had scheduled Migration of our servers from London to our new datacenter in Maidenhead

All packages come with their own SMTP and yes you can have custom nameservers with our reseller plans.

Feel free to ask if you have any further queries.

I can vouch for the spam being low (thanks to spam assasin - although even before I configured this spam was really low for me which was good!) and also the great uptime.

As Ryan said the last downtime was the move to the Maidenhead datacentre and that is the only downtime I have had in the last 8 months of having my website hostings with eUKhost.

Hope that helps .
