Default reseller upgrade/white label & cloud servers

Hi everyone, have a few queries about Linux Reseller and upgrading from Linux Reseller to VPS or semi-dedicated or dedicated. I am asking with view to upgrade in future.

1.If ‘upgrading’ from Linux reseller to VPS or semi-dedicated or dedicated server, can the free end user support (techsupport@supportdepartment.net) still be used?
I am asking this as it was stated in thread started 07-09-2006, 22:53 Free End User Support for Resellers !!!
19-02-2007, 19:14 Question: Does this offer cover VPS Hosting hosting?
19-02-2007, 20:09 Answer: Yes. All customers can take advantage of this offer.

2.If the free end user support can be used on a VPS etc, how would this work, as currently if I have a problem on my VPS(which is currently used privately and not for clients) , I need to give the support team the login details for them to access server to fix.
So if I was hosting clients on a VPS as on a Linux Reseller, how would the support team gain access to server to fix a problem for a client, without having to ask me for login details?

3.When upgrading from a Linux reseller to a VPS or semi-dedicated or dedicated, will all features such as RVSiteBuilder still be available to use, same as on the Linux Reseller (I expect that extra fees will be required?)

4.Why are the reseller servers not totally white label? I find that server host name contains eukhost and thus the shared SSL contains eukhost, so destroying the anonymous reseller requirements.
Can the server.eukhost.com SSL certificate be removed from the reseller account?
I.E. so that it does not show as shared SSL in the end-user cPanel SSL/TSL Manager and the ‘configure email client’ in EMAIL Manager.
I have no requirement for the shared SSL especially when its out of date.

5. With cloud hosting arriving hopefully in the new year, will this change the requirement to open more reseller accounts or ‘upgrade’ to VPS or Semi Dedicated or Dedicated.
I.E. Will I just be able to add on more disk-space and bandwidth to a reseller account when required?

6.Will reseller accounts transferred to the Cloud servers become totally white label? I.E. no eukhost in the server host name and shared SSL.

7.Will ‘overselling’ be allowed with reseller accounts on a Cloud System?

Merry Christmas.
Darryl

Hello Darryl,

Sorry for delayed response.

I have answered all your questions below:-

1.If ‘upgrading’ from Linux reseller to VPS or semi-dedicated or dedicated server, can the free end user support (techsupport@supportdepartment.net) still be used?
I am asking this as it was stated in thread started 07-09-2006, 22:53 Free End User Support for Resellers !!!
19-02-2007, 19:14 Question: Does this offer cover VPS Hosting hosting?
19-02-2007, 20:09 Answer: Yes. All customers can take advantage of this offer.
Ans: Yes, Free End user support is included on VPS, semi dedicated servers and Dedicated Servers

Ans: We'll need VPS root login details if your clients are not able to provide their account login details.

3.When upgrading from a Linux reseller to a VPS or semi-dedicated or dedicated, will all features such as RVSiteBuilder still be available to use, same as on the Linux Reseller (I expect that extra fees will be required?)
Ans: Pricing structure for Rvsitebuilder license is different on VPS and Dedicated Servers.

4.Why are the reseller servers not totally white label? I find that server host name contains eukhost and thus the shared SSL contains eukhost, so destroying the anonymous reseller requirements. Can the server.eukhost.com SSL certificate be removed from the reseller account?
I.E. so that it does not show as shared SSL in the end-user cPanel SSL/TSL Manager and the ‘configure email client’ in EMAIL Manager.I have no requirement for the shared SSL especially when its out of date.
Ans: You can keep your custom settings on VPS and Dedicated Server however we won't be able to make any change on our Shared servers.

5. With cloud hosting arriving hopefully in the new year, will this change the requirement to open more reseller accounts or ‘upgrade’ to VPS or Semi Dedicated or Dedicated.
I.E. Will I just be able to add on more disk-space and bandwidth to a reseller account when required?
Ans: You will need to keep on upgrading to next higher plan when you require more resources i.e reseller>>VPS>>semi dedicated>>Dedicated Server.

6.Will reseller accounts transferred to the Cloud servers become totally white label? I.E. no eukhost in the server host name and shared SSL.
Ans: Cloud setup won't be white label. If you need custom settings with server name or host name, I would recommend you to consider VPS, semi dedicated or dedicated server.

7.Will ‘overselling’ be allowed with reseller accounts on a Cloud System?
Ans: Nope.

Please feel free to post if you have any questions.

Hi Jack, thanks for answering all my questions.
I can now make an informed decision on how to proceed with my project.

I will open a ticket with sales for pricing.
