Default Root Menu and other dificulties

Hi Guys,

I'm looking at leaving Go Daddy for my hosting, not only because of crap support but a general dislike. My first question is simply how hard would it be for me to switch in the next couple months when my hosting expires?

Now, yesterday when speaking to them i cancelled my hosting for one of my two accounts. I did this as they share homepage's so both domains are routed to the same index.
I have both sites on the same root index, which i'm now thinking might cause some problems. Google won't verify my vinrougebrooklyn site as it's looking for the meta in my hasbeansbrooklyn by default. Also i can't set up another sitemap as there's one there already. Any ideas?
The other thing that seems to have happened is i've disapeared from google search. My address is verified with them on the maps section, yet now i'm gone, and where yesterday a general search came up with me, now it's only blogs about my bar. Where did i go? Or should i say why did i go with the deletion of my host, and how do i get back.

I hope these aren't too many stupid questions for you to handle at once, and any help would be greatly appreciated,
Cheers
Jeffrey

Hi Jeffry,

Google will consider only one domain when you host multiple domains with same duplicate content. You need to maintain at least some difference in content of both domains.

You can consider any of our hosting plans as all eUKhost hosting plans support multiple domains under a single account. You can host your second domain as an addon domain and make some minor modifications in content of addon website to get both indexed in google.

Get your websites online ASAP as downtime will make you loose your rankings. let me know if you have any questions about any of our hosting plans and I will be glad to answer those asap.

Default I must be doing something wrong!

Hi,

My two sites are completely different in content, they only share the same index. In my ftp i have them all together however, and i'm wondering if they should be put in separate folders or what i should do. I just spoke with the guys at Godaddy an the man couldn't help me at all...not too surprising sadly.

My ftp basically looks like this:
favicon.ico
favicon-alt.gif
google......
hbblog.html
...
...
...
...
index.htm
index.php
vrblogs.html
vrhome.html
...
...
...

So in this sort of setting i can't have two sitemaps and when i do a meta tag search google automatically looks for the hb even if i'm on the vr screen.
The only other thing, is there any reason i need both an htm and php index.

I hope you can help,
Looking forward to switching in the near future,
Jeffrey

In this situation as they're both different, I'd separate them into two different folders. Only thing is if the images are the same you might have some issues but I doubt it.
